Rabbids Invasion is a French/American animated slapstick comedy television series based on a Ubisoft-produced Raving Rabbids video game. The show is a collaborative production between Ubisoft Motion Pictures, Team TO, France Télévisions and Nickelodeon Productions. The animated series debuted on Nickelodeon on August 3, 2013, with the second season premiering on October 11, 2014.
The joy and the non-verbal humor with which the mysterious alien creatures – rabbids – are exploring the human world around them is akin to that of toddlers. There’s not much to speak of in terms of a plot, but the aimless quality is another aspect that brings the Rabbids Invasion yet closer to a child’s perception. Everything seems amazing and wonderful, so why not just enjoy life? While it would be an exaggeration to call the series original or educational (why should everything be educational, anyway?), the silly and outrageous things that the rabbids engage in make watching the series plain and hilarious fun.
